Tereza Brown
She was born in 1965 in Lyndhurst, England and studied Classical and Contemporary Dance, Jazz, Theatre and Music at the Arts Educational School in England. She continued her studies at the “Royal Academy of Dance” in London and graduated in 1985 with the titles L.R.A.D. (Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance) and A.R.A.D. (Advanced of the Royal Academy of Dance). She has been a member of the “Academy” since 1982 and a “Tutor” since 2006 delivering R.A.D seminars for students and teachers. She worked as a Classical Ballet Teacher at the Hammond School (Chester, England) and choreographed for the Musical “Joseph’s Technicolor Dream – coat” and for the theatrical productions “Tess of the Derbaville’s” and “Othello”.
Since 1988, when she came to Greece, she worked as a Classical Ballet Teacher at the Higher Professional Dance Schools of Sophie Katsoulis, Anna Petrova, and Niki Kontaxaki. From 2000 she taught Classical Ballet at the State School of Orchestral Art (K.S.O.T.) in the Pre-Professional and Professional Departments.
Since 1993-1997 she has been a member of the Advisory Panel of the Greek Association of the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) and continues to be a member of the Association. She collaborated with Valerie Aitkin as “assistant repetiteur” in 2005 (Nutcracker) and 2006 (Graduation Ball) in the performances of the Young Dancers Group. From time to time he has choreographed for theatre productions, and in 2004 he worked as “assistant repetiteur” for the ballet “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” presented by “La Scala Milano” at the Herodion.
Since 2007 she has been a teacher in the CBTS and DDTS teaching programmes of the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) and in the Continuing Professional Development programme for teachers.
She has been married in Greece since 1989, where she lives permanently.
